Raje asks government employees to cancel leave

December 17, 2003 14:28 IST

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has advised all government employees and bureaucrats not to avail leave and chart out a 100-day roadmap of development in the desert state.

Officers have been asked not proceed on leave and those who have already gone on the yearend leave have been informally asked to join duty immediately, official sources said on Wednesday.

Raje has already spelt out her priorities for governance to senior officials. They have been asked to make presentations on roadmaps for development within the next 100 days for their respective departments, sources said. As per Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's advice, Raje wants quick results from her government.

The chief minister had been visiting several government departments asking employees to be tidy and dispense work in a professional manner.
