Vajpayee meets Blair

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Saturday met his British counterpart Tony Blair on the fringes of the Commonwealth Summit in Abuja, Nigeria.

A host of issues relating to the 54-member grouping besides bilateral, regional and international matters of concern figured in the parleys.

The Prime Minister, who is here on a three-day visit, met Ghana President John Agyekum Kufour Friday night as part of his bilateral engagements. Vajpayee is scheduled to return to Delhi on Sunday.

Vajpayee's meeting with Blair lasted 40 minutes. The Indian Prime Minister was assisted by National Security Adviser Brajesh Mishra and Indian High Commissioner in London Ronen Sen.
