Russia detains 44 Indian illegal immigrants

Russian authorities on Wednesday detained 44 Indians and their two Russian guides for attempting to illegally cross the Russian-Ukrainian border. The arrests, made by Federal Security Service, were part of an operation to cut channels of illegal immigration to the West through Russia. According to ITAR-TASS news agency, a case of conspiracy to illegally cross Russia's national border has been filed by the Bryansk cell of the FSB against the Indians and their Russian escort.
