On the childish comments made by irate so called "Indian citizen"( There is a better meaning to the word "Indian" than Tamilians assume.) of TamilNadu on Karnataka and Kanadigas, I just want to remind some of the facts which is know to all over the country who have visited the Chennai or other places over Tamilnadu, * Hostile treatment on Outsiders(especially Non Tamilians) * Language oriented business biasing.
* Hate/Ban towards English and Hindi in there Schools Verrappan is a Tamilnadu product not of Karnataka. * The behavior towards a Non-Tamilian person whenever he visits your state, * LTTE is a Tamilian organization which operates as guerrillas in a small country. * Killing of Rajiv Gandhi .* Still following Zamindari type of System in interior Parts of the TN * Dirty politics. So, You can see who lives in Pakistan type of area inside India.

Neither STF nor karnataka & Tamnilnadu police can catch veerappan(they can but due to political pressure they are helpless) and for no purpose living their families in the lurch are killing the time in the forests. It is better to hand over the complete MM hill area to Military and to open an armytraining centre so that the Veerappan and its allies activities will be reduced to zero and no such dramas occur in future.Further the government also should concentrate on their work rather diverting the attention of public on such issues to hide their weakness.

its all a cooked up scenario specially by the polititions of both states. no person as an indivisual prefers roits . this all is done by paying high amount of money to criminals by these polititions who r the basic hands behind these acts. they only keep in consideration their personal profits & interests no matter whats the price to b paid.
the situation should be handed purely in the hands on law enforcement agencies ( stf ) who should try n understand that if by losing 1 life they can save 1000 others , they shoudn't hesitate. also there should be no political interferance in their work. something like what kps gill did in punjab.. if in a shootout 1 civilian is kiled with 4 terrorists.. go ahead.. u'll be saving the life of 50 other civilians... also its useless to keep these criminals in custody.. they'll sit n eat 4 free .. n once back in open.. they'll resume their same ol profession.. best is shoot at sight.. the public should realise that they r being fooled & divided on the basis of caste n creed by these polititions...
one should realise the importance of democracy & use it judiciousy

We are sir a country of Hypocrites. No prisoners should be released to get this minister released at any cost. The tax payers money should be spent for better things or used equally for security of all citizens of this nation.
Let the family of this minister pay ransom and get him released as was done by Rajkumars family and hundereds of other families.

Due to Small flow at Karnataka basin Poor farmers can only grow 1 to 2 Crops for a year only if monsoon favors and govt. releases water after supplied to Drinking for Bangalore, Mysore and Mandya cities which depend only river and tank water, and the water released to TN on Interim basis. The river widens itself in TN and flow big and wide area. The real Problem of water is for Karnataka. The problem in Tamilnadu is not having good political weapon which can be used time to time to gain the power. The Problem of water is universal lets not just depend on the Rain or River. Due to techno-advancements Sea water can be purified to get pure drinking water, while Bangalore and Mysore doesn't have Sea besides them

Also take along the sleeping Deve Gowda, Karunanidhi, PMK Ramadoss, Vazhapadi, Dr. Krishnaswamy, Dalit Panthers and so on... Tamil Nadu and South India would then be a nice place to live. Veerappan can become a chief minister. he'll of course shoot the tummied police men and political cheats. So no need of courts for politicians. A big save in economy, with clean and fair politics. This is what I want
The above comments of mr. soorappan seems to be a prize winning thought. Veerappan in my opinion is a better man then people like narendra modi and advani who is shielding him. When the whold world is against bush fighting iraq - bush and his loyal deputies seem to issue a statement every day for eliminating saddam. In what way is bush better than veerappan - With the present political situation - veerappan will attain martyrdom and may be a saint - but will not allow himself to be caught. God bless to whole world and those that live in. It is a case of might is right.

Your Views:The options before the Karnataka Government are obviously very limited. The brigand should not be allowed to kill - be it common citizens or the VIP that he has captured now. The Karnataka Government should also convince Jayalalithaa not to precipitate matters. Once Nagappa is released, the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu Governments should work together and bring this Veerappan to book. I am sure we have competent policemen in the two states who can do this - provided they are given a free hand. At the bottom of each escape that the brigand makes is the sordid story of our putrid politician. Therefore alongwith the booking of Veerappan, a few of these putrid wretches who occupy high offices in this country should also be brought to book. The options in this line are not limited, but wide open. Whether the Karnataka government has the courage to do that, however, is a totally different question.

Politicians get away with their day to day problems, media gets a lot of attention, people who support veerapan gets part of ransom and it is the victim who pays through his nose to get away. After getting away the victims also praise him for his generosity! It is quite clear the population in the areas where Veerapan hides is hand and glove with this jerk. It also shows that the Indian state has failed so miserably in making its citizens chose a right path instead of alligning with the gundas like Veerapan. The need of the hour is to have honest and couragious leaders who are no more in the field of Politics. Sooner, one day we will have the nation hijacked by these criminal/politics nexus and what will be left is a lawless land. This job is not an Army job, if done through army we will only annehilate more people from the stated goals of this Nation. Politicians have to take the lead in convincing the people of region to chose between right and wrong. But alas! this can only be a dream.

All they had done nothing but wasting the indian monetary resources. To my knowledge it is critical to nab Mr. Veerappan. There is a joke told by a shrewd politician. No body knows whereabouts of Osama, but it is very easy to nab him. Everybody knows the boundry of Veerappan and it is very difficult to capture him. I strongly suggest our Indian government to pay a ransom of Rs.1 crore to Veerappan ensuring him not to disturb any politician or cine idols. This will certainly help our government sane at least 10 crores every year. Because it is not the money that was given by politician and it was the tax paid by the poor indians.

Your Views:Why bother reporting this news? Since the police are incapable or unwilling to capture this criminal (although I guess being an international laughing stock is not reviled in India), and since in general nothing runs optimally save corruption and moral degradation in India, I propose you only write articles about the greatness of ancient Indian times and the greatness of our culture. That way, you can save money, chemicals, land refill and readers' time by not bothering with the truth (which nobody does anything about) as no one in India seems capable of doing anything but documenting and analyzing why government, public servants, private citizens and the armed forces are corrupt, inefficient, unaccountable. Instead of verifying the sustained chaos and failure of Indian governance, why not have a daily April Fools' edition, where all readers can pretend that what they read has some relevance to change for the better, and where maybe you can fool people into believing the fairy tale that we are a decent, honest, and courageous people who wish to improve our situation and society.

This trend of bending before the outlaws started with the stage managed abduction of daughter of a kasmiri minister in v.p.singh's government for which we are paying a heavy price. It is surprising that veerappan rules the jungles despite heavy armed police of two states are after him(?). Veerappan has goodwill amongst the people in the jungles and it is not only because of terror but apparently because of economic benefits people at all levels may be drawing from his activities. In Mumbai, people turn their faces away when someone is burnt alive during regular daytime heavy traffic-how do we expect people from villages/jungles to rise against veerappan or help the state to testify against veerappan. How long is this real-life drama going to continue? Its high time we come out of our shells and do something about this gangster who seems to have lost all fears. It is a shame on the part of the government to blatantly admit defeat before a bony animal who calls himself the king of the sandalwood forests. What the government does not realize is that we are simply playing with fire. The karnataka government must take the army's help and arrange full-swing operations to grab the self-proclaimed king. How long are we going to bend to his demands and keep surrendering before him.Its time to decide whether Nagappa is more important or the culprit himself.Everytime, he kidnaps someone,we are forced to succumb to his demands. How long will this continue? The terror of Veerappan has to be removed from the minds of the people.Every year, the government is losing crores of rupees because of the smuggling activities and all that the government is doing is holding talks. This lethargy on the part of the government only portrays the fact that the government officials themselves are involved in assisting the gangster which is why the government is reluctant to take massive steps.

3.Arrangements to be made to catch Veerappan red handed while receiving the ransom if paid, and a case to be registered against him in such a situation.

Politians and others if any involved make a lot of mooney thru veerappan. veerappan does not seem to have any money by appearence. In the forest what canhe do with money? He looks like a beggar. None of the politicians really want to end veerappan because he is a constant source of ivory wealth for them

Your Views:Its pathetic that the politicians who rise to serve people are the ones that run for cover when their lifes or families are in any form of danger.. But at the same time they expect the common man to make sacrifices for the common good. I think Veerappan should just catch a few more corrupt politicians and atleast keep them under captivity so that they dont screw around with the country.
Veerapan can be nabbed easily if the politicians get their act together. In my opinion the politicians are benefiting from Veerapans activities be it smuggling sandalwood or anything else.

Your Views:I think, this is the time for the central Govt. to involve and should look sincerely into inter-state criminalism and terrorism issues. As per my knowledge, Indian govt. is spending 50,000 Crores per year on military just to save the Kashmir(Well that is what it looks like, at this point). And I belive, if the government spends just 1% of that and show the real interest & sincerety to clean the country, it would not take much time. And I strongly believe that, Tamilnadu and Karnataka really misused their chances and failed in crushing such socially unacceptable creatures. This is what we(50+ persons) feel as NRIs and making us feel so guilty.

Your Views:Government should keep on encouraging people like veerappan by selling militants in kandhar. negotiations with hijackers. It should also encourage people like Modi by continuing with them so that they can get enough courage to throw dirt on Kalam & CEC by openly discussing there beliefs & religion. Dara singh should get Bhrat Ratna . After all M.M.Joshi should not feel that he is the only one who want to bring us proud by sending us in Stone Age. We are a free nation and all of us should try to bring back the glory of Stone age by supporting killings, burnings, girl child burning, sati pratha, bahu burning, rapes, besides corruption & favourism. We should try to teach the fellow citizens how to earn goodwill and we ourself should get lands in Delhi free. After all Saiyan bhaye kotwal....Even Verappan has a few Saiyan in Indian Politics

Your Views:It is very very bad to hear that Veerappan is doing all these nasty things for long time. India is prepared for a war against Pakistan but quite shameful to hear that Indian forces could not capture Veerappan for long time as he is doing all kind of misdeeds . I really blame the governments for not acting well. This kind of scenes only increase the crime in our society. Governement should take stringent action against these kind of people without any mercy.
