MiG-21 fighter plane crashes in Rajasthan

A MiG-21 fighter plane of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan's Barmer district on Monday night, official reports said on Tuesday.

The plane, on a regular training flight, crashed while attempting to land at Uttarlai air strip under high velocity wind conditions around 2200 IST, police said.

The pilot Flt Lt Pratap Singh ejected safely, police added.

The debris of the fighter plane was strewn near Lalanio ki Dhani, 10 kilometres from Barmer town.
