US-Pak military ties should address
India's security concerns: Sinha

India has told the United States it must remain conscious of the impact of US-Pakistan military relations on New Delhi's security interests.

'The US has expressed understanding of our concerns and has conveyed that it is not considering the sale of defence equipment such as F-16 aircraft to Pakistan,' External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

In reply to another query, he said the government has not seen any confirmed reports or official US statements regarding its [US] plans to establish weapons production units in Pakistan in support of its war against terrorism in Afghanistan.
