Film actor Raja Bundela
beaten up in Bhopal

Film actor Raja Bundela was on Sunday beaten up allegedly by some 'Bajrang Sena' activists at a cinema hall in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh after the media show of his movie Pratha, which reportedly showed some 'priests working as thieves', a senior police official said.

Around 25 activists of the organisation allegedly beat up Bundela, producer-director of the film, after the screening of the movie at the Lily cinema, Additional Superintendent of Police Vivek Sharma told PTI.

According to eyewitnesses, there were no police personnel around when the incident took place.

Sharma said strict security was now in force at the cinema hall.

Efforts were being made to nab the culprits, he said.
