India's decision on Qazi amounts to expulsion: Pakistan

Pakistan on Saturday said India's decision to ask Islamabad to withdraw its high commissioner in New Delhi, Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, amounted to expulsion.

Defence spokesman Major General Rashid Qureshi said: "Pakistan government did not want to recall him."

Referring to the continued exchange of fire at the Line of Control and International Border, Qureshi claimed that the Indian Army had resumed firing in several sectors on Saturday morning.

The Indians used heavy artillery, medium artillery and mortars, he said.
