Normal life was paralysed on Wednesday in the Kashmir valley by the bandh called to protest against the arrest of JKLF chief Yasin Malik.
Shops and business establishments in Srinagar and other major towns downed shutters and few vehicles were seen on the roads.
Apart from minor incidents of stone throwing in Maisuma locality in Srinagar, there were no reports of any untoward incident in the valley at the time this report was filed.
Malik was picked up on Monday for alleged hawala deals and booked under the Prevention of Terrorism Ordinance (POTO).
His arrest followed that of two persons who were caught with $100,000, which they claimed was meant for Malik.
Malik has denied the allegation, but was still picked up when he was about to address a press conference in the Hurriyat Conference's headquaters in Rajbagh, Srinagar.
EARLIER REPORT: Malik remanded to seven days' police custody
