Three boys killed, 25 injured in J&K blast

Three boys were killed and 25 injured in a powerful blast in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Thursday, official sources said.

The explosion took place at Nihama village, where a large number of people had assembled around a residential house damaged in an encounter between militants and Border Security Force personnel in the afternoon, resulting in the killing of two foreign mercenaries, they said.

The police suspect that one of the boys found a grenade and mishandled it. The boy died and 26 other were injured in the resultant blast.

The injured were rushed to Srinagar hospital, where another one succumbed.
