BSF nabs top commander of
Tehrik-ul Mujahideen

In a major success, the paramilitary Border Security Force on Friday arrested Abdul Gani Dar alias Gazalli, supreme commander of the militant outfit Tehrik-ul Mujahideen.

BSF spokesman T Acharya said that 62-year-old Gazalli was arrested from the Lal Chowk area in Srinagar.

The BSF recovered a pistol, four hand grenades, some ammunition and a wireless set from the militant, he said.

Describing the arrest as a major success, Acharya said, "He has been active in the Kashmir valley since 1998."

Based on information disclosed by him, the BSF raided several places and picked up four persons, he said.
