2 BSF personnel killed in Anantnag

Two personnel of the paramilitary Border Security Force, including an officer, were killed in a militant attack at Chancer Kulgam in Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir early on Wednesday.

Police sources in Srinagar said militants ambushed a patrol of the 151 battalion of the BSF at Chancer village, killing Sub-Inspector Ram Singh and a constable on the spot.

Police rushed reinforcements to the spot and began searching the area. The sources said the militants used automatic weapons to attack the BSF patrol.
