Two grenade attacks in Kashmir; 33 hurt

At least 34 people, including six securitymen, were injured in two grenade attacks and a firing incident in Kashmir since Friday evening.

Terrorists hurled a grenade towards securitymen at Pulwama district on Friday evening. Eleven civilians and six security personnel were hurt in the attack.

In a similar strike at Khansahib in Badgam district, 16 people were injured when a grenade thrown at security forces missed the target and exploded on the roadside.

Terrorists shot at and critically wounded a shopkeeper at Kadi-Kadal in downtown Srinagar on Saturday.

The injured were admitted to different hospitals where some of them were in a serious condition.

Meanwhile, people on Saturday staged a sit-in near a police station at Sopore in protest against the arrest of a barber, Abdul Aziz Hajam, by security forces on Friday night.
