The police have registered a case of abduction against the Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Environment and Lok Janshakti Party candidate from Machrehta assembly constituency, Rampal Rajvanshi.
An FIR lodged with the district police alleged that the minister, with the help of his bodyguards and two other supporters, abducted an independent candidate from Machrehta constituency on Tuesday, official sources said.
A case of abduction was registered against the minister and investigation was on, the sources said.
