Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf finally arrived at the Tribhuvan international airport in Kathmandu late on Friday afternoon.
Speaking to mediapersons at the airport, Musharraf said that talks can't be a one-sided affair.
"If both sides are willing to talk, then it is possible. It can't be a one sided affair," Musharraf said referring to the reluctance of Indian leaders to hold a dialogue.
When asked if he would meet Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee during SAARC summit, General Musharaf said, "I can't say anything about it."
On External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh's claim that there was no formal request from Pakistan for talks in Kathmandu, General Musharaf said, "Invitations don't matter. Both sides should be willing to talk."
He also said bilateral problems could be resolved only through talks.
On SAARC, he said the regional forum has a bright future.
Musharaf arrived in a Chinese plane flown by Chinese pilots from Chengdu. He would go back on January 7 to Chengdu, where a Pakistan International Airlines plane would take him back home.
