Singer Anuradha Paudwal survives helicopter crash near Indore

Anuradha Paudwal had a miraculous escape when the helicopter, which she was traveling in, crashed near Kumheri Kakad village close to Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Radhakrishna Malviya, a security officer of Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and Paudwal's secretary Rakesh Chopra were also in the helicopter when the incident occurred, official sources said.

However, all the occupants of the copter, including the crew, were safe though the security officer Raghuvanshi suffered a spinal injury, the sources added.

The copter took off from Indore airport for Rajgarh at 1350 hours and reportedly crashed at 1405 hours, the sources said.

According to sources in the Bhandari Hospital and Research Centre (BHRC), where the occupants were rushed soon after the crash, the helicopter was extensively damaged.

Paudwal was in Indore to present a bhajan concert on Wednesday night, the sources added.
