Tamil Nadu CM unaffected by poll findings

N Sathiya Moorthy in Chennai Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Monday said that the results of a poll, which termed his performance as chief minister as bad, has not affected him in any way.

"I am rendering service to the people to my fullest satisfaction. My ministerial colleagues are also doing good work," he said about the India Today-MARG poll even as he chastised the poor fiscal legacy to the erstwhile DMK government.

He also dismissed as mischievous DMK's appeal to Andipatti voters not to vote ruling AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa as it would mean that she would replace Panneerselvam, a local-lad representing the Thevar community, as chief minister.

He will commence campaign in Andipatti on Wednesday, Panneerselvam said. "I will ask the people to vote for Jayalalithaa, to enable her to become chief minister as per the mandate given to her in the May assembly elections," he said.
