Ladakh Union Territory Front floated

The decision to float the Ladakh Union Territory Front was taken at the initiative of the Ladakh Buddhist Association at a meeting of representatives of local units of all political parties, including the National Conference and the Bharatiya Janata Party, a statement from the LBA said.

The president of the NC's Leh unit, Tsering Narboo Lampa and BJP unit chief Sonam Richen were among those who endorsed the statement.

Muslim organisations in the region were requested to join the Front to fight for the common cause of the people of Ladakh, the statement said.
