Four JeM terrorists killed in Kashmir

Four Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed in Kashmir valley since Thursday night.

Three were killed in an overnight operation by the army and police at Gangbugh forest in Kupwara district, a police spokesman said.

Three Kalashnikov rifles, ammunition, a wireless set and six grenades were found on his possession, he said.

In another operation, troops of the Rashtriya Rifles killed a JeM terrorist at Wailoo village near Kokernag in Anantnag district.

Meanwhile, life was disrupted in Srinagar and some other parts of the valley following a strike called by the Al-Umer Mujahideen to protest against the "subjugation of Muslims by Western forces" in West Asia and Afghanistan.

While business establishments remained closed and transport system was affected in Srinagar, the strike failed to evoke any response in Baramullah, Kupwara and Badgam districts, reports said.

Shops were closed in parts of Pulwama and Anantnag districts and vehicular traffic was thin.
