The four LeT terrorists - Bilal Ahmed Mir, Mohd Afzal Kumhar, Adil Nazir Keen and Ansar Ahmed - have been accused of trying to disrupt the internal security of the country.
Hailing from Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, they were asked by the LeT's self-styled district commander Abu Ammar, a Pakistani national, to set-off blasts on the route of the Republic Day parade during rehearsals.
Police had alleged that Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence ISI and the LeT had hatched the conspiracy under the code name 'Nazir'.
The police has chargesheeted Mehboob Karim Merchant and two others - Dilip Tribhuvandas Bharot and Rajesh Khodabahi Prajapati - for allegedly supplying money to the LeT militants.
Merchant moved the bail plea in the court of Special Judge S N Dhingra who fixed the hearing for April nine.
Stating that neither any incriminating article nor any money was recovered from the possession of the accused, the bail application pointed out that the police had not registered any FIR against him.
Merchant's counsel argued that there was absolutely no evidence to connect the accused with the crime and that he was compelled to sign a blank paper, which was converted into a disclosure statement, after his arrest on January 20.
