Entry of Togadia banned in Gangapur

The Rajasthan government on Tuesday night banned the entry of Vishwa Hindu Parishad general secretary Pravin Togadia into Gangapur town, which was hit by communal violence recently, an official spokesman said in Jaipur.

Togadia was to address a public rally in Gangapur.

The spokesman said as prohibitory orders were in force in the town, it was not appropriate for the VHP leader to hold any meeting, rally, and talk to people there.

The VHP leader has been informed of the decision, he said.

Police firing in Gangapur had claimed three lives of March 25.
