PM rules out immediate re-entry of TC, PMK

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today ruled out immediate re-entry of Trinamul Congress and Pattali Makkal Kachchi into his ministry saying there is no such proposal at present.

"There is no new message to them. They have rejoined the National Democratic Alliance. Whenever the question of inclusion of NDA allies will arise, it will be considered then. There is no such proposal now," Vajpayee told reporters at Rashtrapati Bhavan after the swearing-in of eight new ministers.

"This expansion is limited to BJP only," he said adding the exercise was carried out after taking into account 'all factors'.

Asked about reports that there would be 'sweeping changes' in key economic ministries, he made light of it and said, "Yes, I also heard a lot about it. But nothing came out of it."

He said several vacancies were there which had to be filled up.

"We also saw the results and performance of various ministers," he added.

Asked what message he was giving through the expansion, he said young newcomers have been given responsibilities.
