Heavy Pakistan shelling in Hajipeer kills one soldier

One army soldier was killed, and six others seriously wounded in heavy shelling by the Pakistan army in the Hajipeer sector in Puri of northern Baramulla district on Wednesday afternoon, official sources said.

The sources said Pakistan army shelled Indian army positions in Fillikote, Balkote, Soura and Hatlangoo villages.

They said one shell hit an army bunker seriously injuring six armymen and killing one.

The sources added the Indian army was retaliating with heavy artillery fire.
