Smash Pakistani terrorist camps: Farooq

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah on Monday stepped up demand for smashing of the terrorist training camps in Pakistan and said there was no alternative other than crossing the Line of Control to achieve this objective.

"We have to smash the terrorist camps in Pakistan in order to put an end to terrorism and bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir," Abdullah told reporters after the opening ceremony of the 50th all India Police Hockey Championship in Jammu.

"We want to have peace with Pakistan, but we will not allow them to run training camps to produce terrorists for subversive activities," he said.

Asked whether India should cross the LoC for this purpose, he said, "Is there any other alternative with us?"

To a query whether he was adopting a confrontational path with the Centre over the issue, he said, "I do not care if it is so."
