Strike paralyses life in Kashmir valley

Mukhtar Ahmed in Srinagar

Life in the Kashmir valley was paralysed in view of a strike called by the Jamiat-ul-Mujaheedin to protest the US ban on Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Due to the strike, shops and business establishments were closed on Friday morning in Srinagar.

However, skeletal bus service was plying on the various city, and inter-district routes.
