Pak troops open fire on Jammu border

Pakistani troops opened fire at Indian troops in four sectors along the international border in Jammu division Sunday night and continued it intermittently till Monday morning, official sources said.

They said Pakistani troops, using small arms, opened fire on Indian posts in Hiranagar, R S Pura, Samba and Akhnoor which was retaliated by Border Security Force troops adding no loss of life or damage was reported on the Indian side.

The posts involved in the firing included Lachipur and Maniyari in Hiranagar sector, Budawar, Mehta Post, Jabowal, Peetal Post, Kotranka, Khurd in R S Pura sector and Nanga, Balhar, Maluchak and Khandral in Samba sector and old Kanachak in Akhnoor sector.
