LeT statement embarrassing, says Imam

Sharply reacting to the reported statements of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tayiba (LeT) on the division of India, Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Maulana Syed Ahmed Bukhari Friday said that "no compromise can be made with anybody at the cost of integrity and unity of our country".

"We will not hesitate to sacrifice our lives in order to save the integrity and unity of our motherland," Bukhari said in a statementm adding that "the childish statements of the organisations like LeT provides embarrassment to Indian Muslims."

"The said statements of LeT will strengthen such forces which are dreaming to convert country into Hindu Rashtrya by disturbing communal harmony," the release said.
