Four killed in CNG cylinder
explosion in Bombay

In the first mishap involving Compressed Natural Gas cylinders in Bombay, four people were killed and two injured when a cylinder in a taxi exploded during refuelling at Amar Mahal in suburban Chembur Thursday afternoon.

Six other vehicles were damaged in the blast that killed the taxi driver, an auto driver, a petrol pump employee and a bystander.

The city police control room said four taxies, a Maruti Zen car and an autorickshaw parked in the vicinity were damaged.

The owner of the car and a welder, who were injured, have been taken to the Rajawadi Hospital.
