Film financier Bharat Shah is fully conscious and under observation, JJ Hospital Dean Dr V R Bhutada said on Thursday.
He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after he collapsed during a check up.
Shah, who is in police custody in connection with the alleged use of slush funds in his films, had complained of chest pain and uneasiness, following which a special court ordered a general health check up for him.
