Rajasthan govt to enforce two child norm
for its employees

To encourage small family norms, the Rajasthan government on Wednesday notified that no one having more than two children would be eligible for jobs in the administration or state government undertakings from June one next year.

"No candidate shall be eligible for appointment to the service who has more than two children on or after June one, 2002," the notification said.

It said no state employee shall be considered for promotion for five years from the date on which his promotion becomes due if he or she has more than two children on or after June one next year.

The amended rules will be applicable to all state services, the notification said.
