BJP to strengthen grassroots work force

The Bharatiya Janata Party decided on Wednesday to make one party worker 'chief' of a parliamentary constituency in a bid to strengthen the grassroots work force.

BJP general secretary Maya Singh said the 'chief' would be selected from among the elected members in the state committee.

The party also decided to appoint a person to head a cluster of three to five parliamentary constituencies, she added.

The party meeting chaired by president Jana Krishnamurthi also emphasised the need to increase the role of members of the national council and state council in organisational work.
