Pingle was admitted to hospital under critical condition, but his condition was slowly stabilising, Dr S Dixit, who is attending to him, said.
Pingle suffered acute left ventricular failure with respiratory problems due to a heart disease, the doctor said.
He has been put under artificial breathing support in the intensive care unit of the hospital, Dixit said.
