27 injured in J&K grenade explosion

At least 27 people were injured, three of them seriously, when a grenade thrown by unidentified militants at security forces missed the target and exploded in a busy market in Bandipora town, 56 kms from Srinagar on Thursday, official sources said.

Police and paramilitary forces deployed in the town immediately cordoned off the blast site, they said.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the blast, they added.
