One killed, six injured in explosion in Srinagar

Mukhtar Ahmad in Srinagar

One person was killed and six others injured, including three members of the para-military Border Security Force, in a massive explosion in Bemina in uptown Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon.

The injured were rushed to the hospital. The police said the bomb was planted in a handcart.

It exploded when a BSF vehicle was passing on the road causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
