BSF guns down five Pakistani intruders

Five Pakistani intruders were gunned down by the Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday when they sneaked into India via Ramgarh sector in Jammu and Kashmir from across the border.

A BSF spokesman said the troops noticed a group of intruders sneaking into Nanga border outpost in Ramgarh sector around 0500 hours (IST) on Sunday.

As the troops challenged the intruders to surrender, they opened fire from across the border forcing BSF troops to retaliate.

In ensuing exchange of fire, all five intruders were killed, he said.

Their bodies were later recovered along with some Indian currency.

Meanwhile, intermittent exchange of fire between BSF and Pakistani rangers took place at 15 places along the International Border in Jammu division since Saturday evening without any loss of life or damage on Indian side, the spokesman said.
