NSCN (I-M) terms Centre's
decision unacceptable

The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (I-M) on Saturday said the Centre's decision to restrict the Naga ceasefire to Nagaland was not acceptable to it.

In a statement faxed to PTI from Amsterdam, NSCN (I-M) general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah and president Isaac Swu Chisi said no decision has yet been taken to review the June-14 Bangkok Agreement.

"This is the truth and the whole truth of the talks. Of course, both sides believed that better understanding could certainly be arrived at in the course of talks. And so there is practically no point on the part of Indian government to make announcement beyond this understanding," the statement said.

"Therefore any announcement or declaration or statement given by the home ministry are unfounded. They are in no sense acceptable to the Nagas," the statement added.
