Bandh observed in Jammu, Doda

Normal life was disrupted in Jammu and Doda districts on Monday due to a bandh called by Shiv Sena to protest the killing of Amarnath pilgrims at Sheshnag by militants, police said.

Shops and business establishments remained closed and vehicular traffic was off the roads in Jammu city, Kishtwar and some areas in and around Doda town and Baderwah, the police said

They added no untoward incident was reported from these areas.

Attendance in government offices and banks was also affected, they said.

Thirteen people, including six pilgrims, were killed at Sheshnag enroute to holy cave shrine of Amarnath on Saturday while 15 Hindus were killed in Kishtwar area of Doda district on Sunday.
