The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday expelled National Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribes Commission Chairman Kameshwar Paswan from the party for six years for alleged anti-party activities.
State BJP president Nand Kishore Yadav expelled Paswan following the recommendation of a three-member disciplinary committee.
Opposition leader in the Bihar Assembly, SK Modi, said the disciplinary panel had found Paswan, a former Lok Sabha member, a "habitual trouble-maker slinging mud against senior BJP leaders" and recommended his expulsion on July two.
Paswan was earlier expelled from the party three years ago on similar charges but his expulsion was later revoked when he tendered unqualified apology.
