At least six people were killed and 40 injured, 18 of them seriously, when a bus collided with an express train at an unmanned crossing near Ratanganj in Uttar Pradesh early on Sunday.
The victims included five passengers travelling on the roof of the 191-Down Pawan Express and the bus driver, according to an official report.
The injured have been admitted to Hathras district hospital.
