Hurriyat an extension of Pakistan: JKLF

Launching a tirade against the Hurriyat Conference, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front on Tuesday charged the 23-party conglomerate with having 'bargained with Pakistan all the sacrifices' made by Kashmiri people for independence.

"Hurriyat Conference is nothing but an extension of the Pakistani regime in Srinagar and they have been only parrot-narrating what their masters in Islamabad have wanted," General Secretary of JKLF Haider Hijaji said.

"We are not scapegoats for the national interest of Pakistan as projected by the seven jokers of the amalgam," Hijaji said referring to the seven executive members of the Hurriyat Conference.

He said during the 12-year-long turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir, 'while every second Kashmiri family had lost one of its kith and kin, the living status of Hurriyat Conference leaders had increased rapidly with every luxury of life.'

Warning people of the state against the 'evil designs' of Pakistan, he said, "Islamabad is never mentally prepared for a tripartite negotiations. They are only using Kashmiris as a fodder for fulfilling their national interests."

Hijaji said Pakistan had been 'spending lavishly' on Hurriyat Conference for the services rendered in favour of Islamabad. "The regimes in Pakistan have been continuously showering all benefits on Hurriyat leadership and other groups in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, who, in turn, dance to their tunes," he said.

He said JKLF, under the leadership of Ammanullah Khan, had been always aware of Pakistan's nefarious designs, which have been very critical towards even the basic rights of Kashmiris. "The rejection of JKLF candidates in the PoK elections is a naked example of this tendency," he said.

He termed as 'eyewash' all the talks held by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf with the Kashmiri leaders.

"He is meeting only those parties, which have been dancing to their tunes for long," he said.
