Partial lunar eclipse on Thursday

A partial lunar eclipse will be visible in parts of India, Antarctica, New Zealand and Australia on July 5, 2001.

The beginning of the partial phase of the two hour 40 minute long eclipse, starting at 7.05 pm (IST), will be visible from most parts of India except the northern and western regions, an official release said.

The ending will be visible all over the country, the release added.

The eclipse will also be seen over eastern and central Asia, eastern Africa, Hawaiian islands and central Pacific Ocean, the release added.
