I think the huge number of loss could have been avoided though we cannot do anything to stop
the quake. People should raise their voices against the corrupt builders and the corrupt govt officials.
With the growing number of middle class families, the number of people living in big apartment complexes is going up.
The government should make the builders responsible for the faulty construction.When one building stands without any cracks and the building next to it collapses like a pack of cards then there is something wrong with the construction.It can happen anywhere.
I think what our country needs is a good crisis management whether it is Orissa cyclone or Gujarat earth quake.
