Butt rules out any change in team

Hurriyat Conference leader Abdul Ghani Butt Friday ruled out any change in the composition of the five-member team selected to travel to Pakistan to hold talks with militant organisations.

He, however, once again requested the Union government to issue travel documents all the five members to enable them to proceed on the "peace mission."

"Union Home Minister L K Advani should issue travel documents to all delegation members to travel to Pakistan in the interest of peace," Butt said.

"There is no going back ...we have already announced the delegation," Butt said, denying media reports which said the Hurriyat may change the team in view of the government's reluctance to issue passports to some members.

Butt's comments came even as the seven-member Hurriyat Executive Council prepared to meet in Srinagar on Saturday to discuss its strategy in view of the delay in issuance of passports to three members of the delegation.
