NC activist among four killed in Kashmir

Four people, including a National Conference activist, were killed and ten others wounded in separate incidents in Kashmir since Monday evening, official sources said Tuesday.

Wali Khan was shot dead by unidentified militants at his residence in Handwara area of Kupwara district early Tuesday, sources said.

The body of a counter-insurgent associated with Ikwan, who was abducted from his residence Monday night, was recovered from Chakla in Baramulla district early Tuesday, they said.

A teenaged boy was killed while four others were injured when an explosive device went off at a field in Lalpora in Kupwara Monday evening, the sources said adding an unidentified, bullet-riddled body was recovered from Kinawali Bahak in Kupwara Tuesday.

They said six people sustained splinter injuries when militants exploded a grenade near Bohriwan in Anantnag district Tuesday evening.
