M Abdul Latheef, a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, died in Chennai on Monday morning following a massive heart attack, government hospital sources said. He was 65.
Latheef was also the general secretary the Indian National League.
He was elected to the assembly from Vaniyambadi in the May 10 elections.
Latheef was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness.
