Fourteen people were killed and 50 injured, some of them seriously, when the bus in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a 50-metre deep gorge in Kishtwar town of Doda district on Tuesday, police said.

The accident occurred when driver of the bus, on its way from Patmihal village to Kishtwar, was negotiating a curve at Bhandarkoot, 245 km from Jammu around 2 pm, they said.
