Centre should impose President's rule in J&K: VHP

Vishwa Hindu Parishad vice president Acharya Giriraj Kishore on Monday said the Centre should think of imposing President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir if terrorism was not controlled in the troubled state within the next one month.

"Even though law and order is a state subject, the Centre should impose President 's rule in J&K if the situation does not improve in the next one month," he said.

Kishore alleged that the police was hand in glove with the militants because of the state government's laxity and inefficiency.

He regretted that Hindu leaders were being "selectively killed" in the Jammu region, and alleged that Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah was speaking in "three different tongues".

"He says one thing in Delhi, another in Jammu and yet another in the Kashmir valley," Kishore said.
