Hurriyat leaders to tour Kerala in September

A five-member team of the All-Parties Hurriyat Conference will be arriving in Kerala next month to garner support for its campaign in Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC team, led by Abdul Ghani Lone, will include Yasin Malik and Umer Farooq. Syed Ali Shah Geelani of the Jamaat-e-Islami and Sheikh Abdul Aziz of the People's League have yet to confirm their participation.

The Hurriyat leaders are expected to address a public meeting at Kozhikode on September 2, take part in a seminar at Cochin on September 3 and arrive in Trivandrum, the state capital, on September 4, Mukundan C Menon of the Confederation of Human Rights OrGhanisations told Indo-Asian News Service.

Menon said the Hurriyat leaders would be travelling to different parts of the country to explain their stand on rights violation in Jammu and Kashmir.
