Norwegian team meets Hurriyat members

A two-member Norwegian team led by Member of Parliament Lars Rise met Hurriyat Conference politicians on Thursday and discussed the Kashmir issue, a Hurriyat spokesman said in Srinagar.

The spokesman said a six-member Hurriyat team led by its chairman, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat, apprised the visiting dignitaries about the separatist conglomerate's views on the Kashmir problem.

The other members of the Hurriyat delegation were senior executive members Moulvi Abbas Ansari and Sheikh Abdul Aziz, advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat, acting president of the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front, Sheikh Ali Mohammad, advocate of the Jamaat-e-Islami, and advocate Mohammad Amin Bhat of the Awami Action Committee.

The meeting also discussed the alleged human rights violations in the state.
