Huge cache of arms found in Rajouri

The army has busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms, including 12 Improvised Explosive Devices, in Rajouri district in Jammu division, a defence spokesman said on Monday.

He said on a tip off the troops launched a search operation in Harni forest on Sunday and spotted a hideout formed in a hollow cavity between four trees. They found two rucksacks containing ammunition and explosives.

The recoveries from the rucksacks included 12 IEDs, 40 detonators, 238 rounds of ammunition, 11 rifle grenades, seven magazines of Kalashnikov assault rifles and 18 medical kits.
